INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY | 3RD COAST VENTURE SUMMIT 2026

Spring Semester | 2 Positions Available | For-Credit Internship

The Idea Village is seeking driven, detail-oriented undergraduate or graduate students in design, business, marketing, finance, or event management to join our team as Spring 2026 interns supporting the 3rd Coast Venture Summit.

The 3rd Coast Venture Summit (3CVS) is where the Gulf South’s most promising founders meet the investors, operators, and innovators shaping the future of technology and venture capital. Designed as a high-impact, three-day experience, 3CVS brings together national VC firms, emerging startups, and industry leaders for pitches, investor roundtables, curated networking, and unmatched behind-the-scenes access to the real world of venture building. For students, this is a rare opportunity to learn how deals happen, expand your professional network, and see firsthand what high-growth innovation looks like in action — all while experiencing New Orleans in the middle of its emerging tech moment. This is a for-credit internship with hybrid flexibility. Ideal candidates are organized, proactive, collaborative, and enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced environment similar to a startup.

Internship Timeline & Commitment

January–February: ~10 hrs/week - Pre-event planning and asset preparation

March: ~20 hrs/week - Event execution, production support, and onsite responsibilities

April: ~5 hrs/week - Wrap-up deliverables and support post-event communications

On-site attendance required March 10–12, 2026 (Summit), full days (start time as early as 7 am, end time as late as 10 pm)

What You’ll Work On (Workload will be divided between 2 interns, based on track and strengths)

  • Supporting the 3rd Coast Venture Summit app and digital user experience

  • Managing and organizing founder pitch decks

  • Tracking sponsor ads and partner registration

  • Supporting founder and attendee registration flow and communications

  • Working with the marketing team on signage, collateral, and printed materials

  • Assisting with the event investor book and digital asset preparation

  • Helping production with on-site experience and flow

  • Filming content, guiding speakers and sponsors, supporting registration, and answering FAQs during the event

Ideal Candidate Qualities

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with a small, fast-moving team

  • Professional communication, email etiquette, and customer service instincts

  • Ability to process and retain event, company, and attendee details to support a concierge-level experience

  • Interest in startups, venture capital, event production, or innovation ecosystems

  • Comfortable with hybrid work flexibility; office available at The Shop at the CAC; 2 or more days in office/month is requested, so we can get to know you and help you get the most out of your internship!

Opportunity for Students

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the venture and startup ecosystem without leaving the region. Interns will work closely with regional founders, national investors, and innovation partners while participating in the full lifecycle of a major event, from planning and operations to execution and post-event wrap.

Interns will work closely with the Marketing Manager & Sr. Programs Manager.
