VENDOR POLICY OF THE IDEA VILLAGE

COMPLIANCE WITH GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS

Vendors are responsible for complying with the state and local health department and licensing regulations governing the production and sale of their products. If applicable, vendors are responsible for reporting and collecting all sales tax.

The Vendorshall obtain, at their own cost, any license or permits as may be required by law, and shall pay all taxes, fees and charges prescribed by Federal, State, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations in connection with Vendor's use of the premises. Vendors must have all required permits and/or licenses prior to the start of Festival day. Vendors who fail to comply with applicable state, federal and local regulations may be subject to removal from the event.

INSURANCE

Service Provider shall, at its own cost and expense, obtain and maintain in full force and effect, with sound and reputable insurers, adequate insurance to cover its obligations including, as necessary, Comprehensive General Liability, Automobile Liability, Workers Compensation, or Employers Liability, Errors & Omissions Insurance, Excess Liability, or Umbrella Liability.

The coverage afforded by these policies shall be primary with respect to the interest of Company and shall not require the application or contribution of any other insurance policy that may be obtained by or for Company regardless of how other insurance is structured to apply in other insurance situations.

Service Provider shall maintain the foregoing insurance policies in full force and effect during the term of this Agreement and said policies and certificates shall certify among other things, that the insurance will not be modified, canceled or lapsed during the progress of the work under this Agreement without first giving thirty (30) days advance notice of such cancellation or lapse to Company. If Service Provider should change insurance carriers during the term of this Agreement, Service Provider shall provide Company with written evidence that such new policy provides “prior acts” coverage.

Service Provider agrees to hold Company harmless from loss or damage that might occur by reason of noncompliance.

The Idea Village, a New Orleans based 501(c)3 nonprofit, operates the www.ideavillage.org website which provides information and opportunities to support regional startups and the big thinkers that power them. We draw inspiration from the city we call home, and with the tremendous support of our team we mobilize a village of people who are relentlessly resourceful and committed to building successful companies.

This page is used to inform website visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service, the The Idea Village website.
