Flag Tips

IT’S ON IN NOLA

How to Hang Your Founders Flag…

Ready to raise your Founders Flag in honor of entrepreneurship? The Saints have partnered with The Idea Village on the vision of raising flags across New Orleans by the launch of New Orlean Entrepreneur Week, March 20‐27, 2010.

The Idea Village team is coming to the rescue with a few helpful flag‐hanging tips. Hang it now, inspire your friends and your neighbors to do the same, and raise it through New Orleans Entrepreneur Week.

  • There is the always classic, always reliable flag pole. If you already have one, please hoist your founders flag high for all your neighbors to admire. If you are in the market for a pole, pay a visit to a Harry’s Hardware near you (or any other fine hardware retailer).

  • While you are at that hardware store, you may instead opt to pick up a couple of suction cup hooks. Also available at OfficeMax, these hooks extend your hanging options to all glass surfaces within optimal street view.

  • There is also the garden flag pole option, which is ladder free and only requires a small patch of soft soil. Available at Lowes, this will allow your founders flag to blend in seamlessly with your holiday lawn décor.

  • Never forget duct tape is like the force, it has a dark side and a light side and holds everything together!

  • As always, we encourage your crazy ideas. Who knows, it could look pretty good flying from your car antenna, your jogging stroller or simply fastened around your neck in a cape‐like fashion.

Thank you for raising your Founders Flag for a vibrant entrepreneurial season! With your support, New Orleans will be a sea of flags flying in support of New Orleans Entrepreneur Week 2010.
